Totally by accident I ended up with one of the best ATC patches ever. All just a normal ATC with a silver metallic finish but the globe field ended up flaking a little. Tried to fix it and more fell off. So eventually almost all of it came off with a tooth brush except some tiny specs here and there. Just like another I saw some time back where it was sprayed with silver and most came off, I have to say this is one of the most realistic ever and I think it needs to be marked as a pepro...You'll find variations of color used in these patches, metal leaf, grays, and even light blue. An almost endless variety of materials as well found on originals out in the wild...
 
 
Individually hand cut, assembled, and finished using my artistically applied patina. These are stitched up in our home studio by my Asian Wife on 1940's sewing machines. The only way I could be more authentic is if she was 90 plus years old.
